A Logan Update
I have
not done an update on our little boy in a while. Time is going so fast and there is so much
that we still need to finish before his arrival.
In the
last few weeks we had our 3D scan, our 29 week scan and I also received 2 baby
bags (one from Dischem and one from Discovery).
We also recently bought Logan a new pram, it’s assembled and ready in
his room. Logan’s room is almost done
and I will post pictures and a blog post on that once I am 100 % done.
I am
also 31 weeks today, 7 more weeks till my scheduled c-section date.
So let
me start with all my updates.
29 Week Scan
All is
well with our little man; he was weighing in at 1.4 kg at 29 weeks and 2
days. I went back and saw that Hayley
was 1.8 kg at exactly 30 weeks. Looks
like this little dude will be a bit smaller than his sister at birth. Dr has also described me with some Mypaid
pain tablets for the ligament pains I’ve been experiencing.
3D Scan
This
was such an awesome experience. The lady
doing our scan was so helpful and really went in to detail showing us
everything. Logan is head up, with his
feet tugged in behind his face. What an
awkward position to be in. In the
beginning of the scan he was holding his one foot in front of his face, and
after some shifting around we managed to get some nice shots of his face. He looks just like his big sister! At one point he was showing us his little
nose, and we actually managed to get a cute shot of this moment. He is a busy little dude! I am now so excited and really counting the
days till I get to hold this little man in my arms. After our scan we also went and did a
hospital tour, as I will be having this baby in a different hospital than with
our little girl.
Baby Bags
I was
also fortunate enough to receive two baby bags containing lots of awesome
goodies.
From Discovery
I received a nice bag filled with the following:

We also
bought the little dude a new travel system.
I cannot wait to have this little person wrapped up inside.
Things
are really happening and becoming so real.
Next up is to finish baby’s room.
Finalise my hospital bags, get the last things on my list and most
importantly buy a gift from Logan to Hayley, any nice ideas?

An update and Easter Weekend Fun
We had such a wonderful time the last few weeks.
The past Easter Weekend we had our first Easter Egg Hunt.
Easter Sunday we then head over to the Bunny Park in Benoni, where we met up with my parents, who had left to visit my sister for a week, as well as my sister and her little family. Hayley was so excited to see her cousin. We started off the day with a little family picnic after which we took a long stroll around the Bunny Park giving the kids the change to feed all the animals. We then went to the rides where we gave the kids a change to choose 2 rides each that they wanted to go on. Hayley off course chose the marry-go-round, because of the horses, and the train. We then stopped at the (real) horses on our way out, where Hayley really enjoyed herself, riding on all the horses. I was amazed as it was her first time on a real horse, she had no end and just kept on riding. We had such a mission getting her away from the horses. Seems she is sharing in the same love for horses that her mother has.
It was great having my parents here for a week and I enjoyed
every moment with them. At times I really
struggle to adjust having my parents living so far away, but visits like these definitely
makes up for them. Hayley also loves
having them here and she is so excited to spent time with them.
The past Easter Weekend we had our first Easter Egg Hunt.
Me, DH and Hayley.
First we told her that she needs to go have her afternoon nap,
so that the Easter Bunny can come and visit.
She was just worried if the Easter Bunny is a Mommy Easter Bunny and we
guaranteed her that she is. I then went
and took a divine afternoon nap with this little princess while DH went and hid
all the eggs in the garden. When she
woke up we told her that while she was sleeping there was a Mommy Easter Bunny
in the garden and she must go have a look if she can see anything different
outside. She really enjoyed looking for
all the Easter Eggs and treats but I will let the photos tell the rest:

It was my first time at the Bunny Park and I really enjoyed the
outing there. It is a nice little place
in the rush of the city, especially considering that entrance is free.
Below is some recent photos taken of our little girl. I am so in live with this little person. She is so witty and loveable and I look
forward to spend time with her every day.
I miss her at work and look forward to weekends to just spend time with
her.
She is such a funny little girl and she lights up our little
family and I am so blessed to be called her mommy.

An awesome baby shower
On 12 April 2014 we were blessed with a lovely baby shower in preparation
for little Logan’s arrival.
The venue was a lovely tea garden spot in Krugersdorp called ‘Die
Boomhuisie’. I loved the artistic look
and feel of the venue and it was nice having a little private spot to enjoy the
day with loved ones. My sister went
through a lot of trouble to make the day special and of course my mom and dad
really contributed in the day.
We were spoiled rotten and Logan is already a very loved and
blessed little boy.
I think the photos below say enough and no more words of our
special day is needed:

Just a bit of a rambling post... :-)
I just feel like rambling a bit today. This is such an exciting week for me due to
the following:
©
Tomorrow I hit the 27 week mark, last week before hitting the 3rd
trimester
©
My parents are coming to visit, been almost 4 months since I’ve
last seen them and I am really looking forward to it.
©
My 4 week work week’s start this week as I took a day’s leave on
Friday to spent time with my folks
©
It’s my babyshower this weekend
©
Hayley has been sleeping really well lately (touching wood)
©
I can’t wait to see Hayley’s little face light up when she sees
my folks walk through the door
Other than working full time, studying part time, being a mommy,
traveling far to work, being tired and achy due to pregnancy, things are really
going well this side!
Happy Monday and have a lovely week this week!
