Hayley's first movie experience

This past Saturday we took Hayley to the movies for the first time.  We went to watch Rio 2, as it has been at the cinemas for almost 2 months, so we knew the cinema will be quite if Hayley did not sit still.

We arrived a bit late so all the lights was off and the previews were already playing.  I think it was a bit overwhelming walking into a loud, dark room as Hayley kept on asking we need to put softer and asked a few times if we can leave as she does not like the big tv.

Eventually she got the whole drift and recognized the characters from the first Rio movie.  She then ended up really enjoying herself.  I will like to take her to another movie at a quiet show time, make sure we arrive early and if she then likes it I will take her to the more popular shows and 3D movies.

Since Saturday Hayley has asked a few times if we can take her to the movies again and was very excited telling her Ouma and Oupa about her first movie experience over the phone.

I am looking forward to many more movie dates with my little girl, think mommy joined the experience the most.

A Logan Update

I have not done an update on our little boy in a while.  Time is going so fast and there is so much that we still need to finish before his arrival.

In the last few weeks we had our 3D scan, our 29 week scan and I also received 2 baby bags (one from Dischem and one from Discovery).  We also recently bought Logan a new pram, it’s assembled and ready in his room.  Logan’s room is almost done and I will post pictures and a blog post on that once I am 100 % done.

I am also 31 weeks today, 7 more weeks till my scheduled c-section date.

So let me start with all my updates.

29 Week Scan

All is well with our little man; he was weighing in at 1.4 kg at 29 weeks and 2 days.  I went back and saw that Hayley was 1.8 kg at exactly 30 weeks.  Looks like this little dude will be a bit smaller than his sister at birth.  Dr has also described me with some Mypaid pain tablets for the ligament pains I’ve been experiencing.

3D Scan

This was such an awesome experience.  The lady doing our scan was so helpful and really went in to detail showing us everything.  Logan is head up, with his feet tugged in behind his face.  What an awkward position to be in.  In the beginning of the scan he was holding his one foot in front of his face, and after some shifting around we managed to get some nice shots of his face.  He looks just like his big sister!  At one point he was showing us his little nose, and we actually managed to get a cute shot of this moment.  He is a busy little dude!  I am now so excited and really counting the days till I get to hold this little man in my arms.  After our scan we also went and did a hospital tour, as I will be having this baby in a different hospital than with our little girl.

I was also fortunate enough to receive two baby bags containing lots of awesome goodies.

Pram

We also bought the little dude a new travel system.  I cannot wait to have this little person wrapped up inside.

Things are really happening and becoming so real.  Next up is to finish baby’s room.  Finalise my hospital bags, get the last things on my list and most importantly buy a gift from Logan to Hayley, any nice ideas?
